queenstown

We're going there. Exciting, yes?
It'll be nice to get out of Christchurch for a while, even if we do have sunsets like this.

Also, my op-shopped huge grey sweatshirt no longer has arms. They grew tiresome. Nothing else new from Christchurch right now. Although admittedly, that doesn't surprise me - nothing much news-worthy ever does happen in Christchurch.

riches

Fuck the guitar. The Riches is over for the season. Depressing.

Dahlia: We’re going home.
Didi: Home?
Cal: She means camp.
Didi: What about Dad?
Dahlia: Your dad’s staying here.
Didi: Well fine, then I'm staying here too.
Wayne: Don’t be stupid. Go with your mother.
Didi: She doesn’t give a shit about me. I’m staying here. If we run into any more trouble, we’ll just find ourselves some more dead buffers.

Sigh.

guitar

I think I may borrow dad's old guitar for a bit to play around with.

next year

Well, today I enrolled at Hagley. Easy as. Just rolled up, talked to the Careers Adviser, wrote things, signed my name a few times, and now I'm all set to go for next year.

Next year will be interesting at worst.

oh, also

Almost forgot, Christchurch has a new store! Pathetic how that receives and exclamation point, I know. Anyway, Fridge Freezer Icebox is at 664a Colombo Street, and is three floors of insane shoes. I don't care much at all for the clothing, but their shoes are amazing, and in great selection.

exams

Apologies about my lack of posts recently, it's been my favorite time of year. Luckily I only have 6 exams this year (as opposed to nine last year) so I only have to sit through 18 hours of hell.

Anyway, clothes. Last Friday night it was a tight black camouflage hoodie and new/old ripped skinny jeans for a night out. Not very inspirational, but black is inconspicuous, tight is warm and flats are practical, especially when you have no idea where the night's going to take you.
Turns out it took us out to town to meet up with more of Christchurch's hoodlum youth then down to the park for a... bit.

making the best out of a tragic situation

I ripped my old, black Wrangler skinnies across the knee. Along with my skin. I almost cried (on account of my Wranglers, not my knee).
I took to them with scissors and safety pins to see if I could manage to salvage them at all...

They're working for me so far.

1 November 2009

oh, how exciting

Oh gee, a new old denim jacket with the sleeves cut off. How original.

Yawn.

Well, I happen to be pretty darn excited about this. Although at the moment it may just be an $8.00 second hand jacket, I believe it has the potential to become something amazing.

enough of the waiting game, already

Today at school I was complimented on my huge fluorescent yellow-green hair ribbon (from memory, about $6.00 /m from Spotlight) and giant (faux) diamond earrings ($15.00 from Bling), which fully made my day.

I love ribbons and earrings because they make your outfit and make you feel so pretty (plus you can usually get away with wearing them if you have a strict dress code or have to wear a uniform like me).
